Classy Industrial Wedding in Downtown St. Petersburg, FL at Morean Center for Clay

We are one week away from Josh and Maria’s wedding and its only fitting that we celebrate them close to their first anniversary!

Josh and Maria tied the knot at one of our favorite industrial wedding venues in the Tampa/St. Petersburg, FL area. Morean Center for Clay is an old historic train station that hosts a pottery studio as well as an open floor plan wedding venue. It has lots of character, charm, history, and that little bit of vintage flair. Morean Center for clay has the coolest exposed brick inside and out which makes for all the industrial, moody vibes. Its a blank canvas for you to come in and create anything and everything you could dream of!

After a change of plans with their original photographer, we were the lucky ones that got to come and celebrate with Josh and Maria on their wedding day! Our good friend Jaimi, with I Choose You Events, contacted us about a month before their wedding date asking if we could take over their wedding at the last moment! We didn’t even have to think twice, because moody, industrial weddings are right up our alley, not to mention, Josh and Maria were the sweetest people! Any day that we get to shoot at the Morean Clay Center and to work with an amazing couple is like a dream come true! They also had a dream team of vendors for their beautiful day and it was just so much fun!!

For their portraits, we had extra time to venture down the street a little ways to take photos with the ever popular and very cool murals that line the streets of St. Pete. St. Pete is one of the coolest little cities with a huge influence and appreciation for Art and being from St. Pete, it was only fitting that we got to capture Josh and Maria’s wedding day portraits with something that represented them and where they live. It made for a little extra special touch!

What we remember most is their first look!! I, (Rychelle), remember the anticipation of getting on the trolley with the girls and just that moment of Maria finally getting to see her soon-to-be hubby! When we got to the Morean Center for Clay, we went right into their first look and man y’all, it was so sweet, so tender, some tears and just a couple in love with each other, eager to see each other, their day to finally be here and to start the rest of their lives together! It was just a sweet and cool moment for us!

Their day was one of the most laid back and fun weddings that we have gotten to be a part of. Not only did it look incredibly beautiful, but the whole relaxed vibe, their friends and family and their bridal party just made for a really special day celebrating an amazing couple! We danced away to a live band for their reception and honestly it was so much fun getting to be in the mix of it all! It was a day that we truly won’t forget and one we still talk about a year later! Talk about being lucky to fill in at the last minute!!
