Weddings are always incredibly special. But, then there are those few moments where you get invited to shoot something much smaller and much more intimate like an elopement. Tammy had contacted us through a mutual friend about shooting their beach elopement and we jumped right in and said, “YES!!”
Tammy and Robert happen to live in Tennessee and decided to pull out a map where there was a beach and randomly picked a place to go. I mean, how cool is that!? Already love them! We were originally scheduled to shoot their elopement on the 19th of February, but because of a loss in their family, they had to turn right back around after landing here in Florida and fly back home, so we moved everything to the following week and it couldn’t have been any more perfect than it was.
I remember both Robert and Tammy walking down the boardwalk before you hit the beach just beaming. They had a quick, but intimate and tearful ceremony. And just when you thought the tears could stop rolling down your face, Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect” began playing as Tammy and Robert pulled in close and danced for the first time as husband and wife. There wasn’t anything that wasn’t perfect about their elopement. Seeing the two of them just beaming and radiating joy and love was the most profound thing to witness. It was like no one else existed. It was just the two of them so full of love. It was perfect in every way imaginable.
