Heartfelt Lakefront Wedding Video in Sarasota, FL

Gosh, where do we even begin with these two!?? We met Sydney a few years ago at a wedding that we both were working. She was the planner. We were the photographers. We remember sitting together during dinner just chatting about life and how she had just moved to the Tampa area. She told us a little bit about her and Scott’s story and how he was so incredibly sweet. Little did we know, that upon meeting Scott and their first date, she knew that he was the one. She had written a letter after that date telling him all about it, and its included in their wedding video which is a total tear jerker.

When Sydney emailed us after her and Scott got engaged asking if we would be their photographers, I, Rychelle, remember sitting there in tears. Not only are they the sweetest people, but just the honor of getting asked to be a part of their wedding when she is a wedding planner herself, is huge! It’s not something we take lightly!

Their wedding day, was probably one of the more emotional days for us, as well as, laid back. When we walked into her parents house for the getting ready, everyone was just calm. We can’t describe it, but it was so peaceful. Both Sydney and Scott chose to get ready in different parts of her parents house. We also did the first look and family pictures there before heading over to Nathan Benderson Park for the ceremony and reception. Sydney planned her own wedding which was so incredibly stunning with unique details like her seating chart sign and her table centerpieces. Their food was all their favorite cuisines and for dessert it was all of her favorite desserts and cookies that her momma makes. Their family traditions and values was seamlessly woven into every aspect of their day. Sydney’s mom, made the quilt that covered the top part of their chuppah.

While they kept most of the jewish ceremony traditions, they also added in a few of their own things. They said their own vows and if you watch their video above, Sydney’s vow alone will have you in tears. The best part of their day outside of just watching these lovebirds finally tie the knot was Sydney’s video to Scott during the reception. She had quite a few well known athletes, musicians and actors send a message to Scott, like Kevin from the office. I mean, we laughed, we were speechless in parts and the expressions on Scott’s face were absolutely priceless.

FAQ From Sydney

What did you love about your wedding at Nathan Benderson Park?

The location on the water was a beautiful setting. We loved that you could explore different floors (ground floor, 2nd floor, rooftop) and get different experiences and vantage points on each. We also loved how convenient everything was. All of the wedding happenings were so close together and easy to get around.

What memory from your wedding do you remember the most strongly? Or what part of the day had the most effect on you or your relationship?

Our favorite part of the day was going up to the rooftop right after the ceremony for a private moment and then for photos. We had so much fun doing our photos and hanging out with you guys and even though we were being photographed and recorded, it still felt like such an intimate and special moment.

Funniest moment on your wedding day?

The video was the funniest including messages from our favorite celebs.

What advice would you give to future couples who are getting married?

Stick with your partner the entire evening. You’ll be pulled in so many directions but it’s your day so make sure to do it all together and soak it in together. Make sure to take some time to observe and soak it in. After a year or more of planning and pining over ever detail, some of my favorite moments were finding a vantage point and just observing the wedding that we’d made.
