We had the honor of capturing every moment from getting ready to mingling with their guests at their reception. To add to the honor, theirs was also the first wedding held at Fern Oak and it felt so special to be a part of that with the staff as well! Dom and Emily’s day was genuine, romantic, intimate, and we are so blessed to have been a part of it.
A Luxury Outdoor Wedding Venue Florida
Fern Oak Estate is a Central Florida wedding venue located in Pomona Park that caters to more close-knit gatherings. Designed to host events for up to 80 guests, Fern Oak Estate offers an intimate atmosphere amidst natural beauty. This gorgeous 15-acre gated lakefront property is secluded and provides versatile indoor and outdoor spaces for ceremonies & receptions. Options include a lakeside view, a hidden forest of ferns, and areas absolutely dripping in the most romantic Spanish moss. In addition, they feature garden areas suitable for tented events and “under the stars” celebrations like Dom & Emily’s reception!
Fern Oak Estate thought of everything couples could possibly need. The estate features four private luxury residences that can collectively accommodate up to 32 guests. During their stay, guests can enjoy the extensive on-site amenities. It features a private lake with a dock and beach, outdoor kitchens, & a bar. Also included are a lounge area, a commercial-grade gym, and much more! It was a fantastic choice for Dom & Emily who wanted their wedding to be focused on being present with their guests who came to celebrate with them.
Fern Oaks Estate Intimate Wedding Florida
One of our favorite parts of this wedding was the heart behind it. Dom & Emily’s day was simply about being with those closest to them and celebrating with them. Many of their guests traveled from out of town to be with them for their big day. This amazing couple didn’t take that for granted. Every aspect of their day was thoughtfully planned with their guests in mind. They wrote personal vows, had their moms share Bible verses, and passed their rings to their guests to be prayed over. It was the most intentional and heartfelt ceremony we have been a part of! Surrounded by just their closest people — the ones who’ve walked with them through every season — this couple chose to marry under the shade of ancient oaks, with Spanish moss swaying softly above and the stillness of the lake behind them. No distractions. No pressure. Just presence.
Outdoor Wedding Reception Central Florida
Following their heartfelt ceremony, Dom & Emily shared dinner with their guests at a long family-style table on the lawn. Twinkling lights were strung above their celebration and laughter echoed across the water. Every conversation felt like home and every toast was personal. Their parents were so loving when they toasted to the new couple. Speeches focused on who the couple were growing up and how they’d changed for the better after meeting. Afterward, they enjoyed cake, espresso martinis, and dancing with their closest companions. As the sun set over the lake, golden light filtered through the trees, & the couple snuck away for a few quiet portraits. They soaked in the joy of marrying their best friend, surrounded by the people they love most. No posing, no pressure, just pure happiness.
