A Modern Vintage Wedding at The Orlo

Some weddings are built on years of planning, but others are shaped by trust, intention, and heart. Morgan and Emanuel reached out just one month before their wedding at The Orlo. What unfolded in that short time felt grounded, peaceful, and deeply personal. Their day wasn’t about spectacle. It was about presence—celebrating with only their closest family and even closer friends in a way that felt true to who they are.

Their gallery carries that same energy. It has the softness of a modern vintage love story paired with bold personality and playful spirit. Creamy tones, retro waves, pearl details, lace-trimmed veil, bathtub laughs, and porch kisses all came together to create imagery that feels lived-in, genuine, and warm.

Why The Orlo Is a Wedding Venue Tampa Couples Love

The Orlo is one of our favorite wedding venues in Tampa because it blends vintage charm, character, and history with the kind of warmth that makes every wedding feel personal. It’s also minutes from Davis Island, home to our favorite tea spot, Tebella. This venue is surrounded by restaurants with every ethnic option you could dream of. Because it’s so close to downtown Tampa, couples and guests have their pick of hotels, breweries, rooftop bars, coffee shops, and endless activities.

10 Tips for Planning a Wedding at The Orlo

It’s a Downtown Gem with Historic Charm
The Orlo is a restored historic home turned event venue in the heart of Tampa, blending old Florida charm with modern elegance. Keep this in mind when planning decor!

Perfect for Intimate to Mid-Size Weddings
This venue is ideal for around 150 guests, with indoor ballroom spaces that feel both flexible and cozy.

Ceremony + Reception in One Place
You can hold both your ceremony and reception on-site, which your guests will love. The Orlo offers both indoor and outdoor ceremony options—many couples opt for the lush front lawn or the wraparound porch, then move inside for cocktail hour and dancing.

The Staircase Is Iconic
There’s a beautiful staircase right when you walk in that’s a photographer’s dream. Whether for a private first look, a romantic couple’s moment, or dramatic portraits—this spot should not be missed.

Lighting Is Gorgeous—Especially Earlier in the Day
With tons of windows and warm tones throughout, the natural light at The Orlo is absolutely stunning, especially in the late morning to early afternoon. If you’re a fan of soft, glowy images, consider timing your ceremony or portraits around golden hour for the best results.

Parking & Accessibility
Street parking and nearby garages make arrival simple; ride-share is convenient because of the downtown location.

Nearby Photo Ops Beyond the Venue
Hyde Park Village, the Riverwalk, and Bayshore Boulevard are minutes away in case you want to sneak away for photos.

It’s BYO Vendors-Friendly
This is a MAJOR perk for Tampa couples who want flexibility in choosing their dream team. Just make sure your vendors are licensed and insured, as The Orlo does require this.

Air Conditioning Is a Lifesaver
This is Tampa, after all. Whether it’s spring or summer, the AC inside The Orlo is strong—which means no melting makeup or sweaty groomsmen photos. It’s a great backup for Florida’s unpredictable weather.

It Books Quickly
Spring and fall dates go fast, often a year out. Be sure to book a tour in advance!

A Wedding Day at the Orlo House and Ballroom

What made this wedding unforgettable wasn’t just the charm of The Orlo House and Ballroom. It was the intention behind every decision. Morgan and Emanuel wanted a day rooted in meaning. Their vows were so raw and heartfelt that not only did they cry, but we cried too!

Another unforgettable part of the day was how intentionally they chose their vendor team. Even though the wedding was small, everyone worked together seamlessly. When we realized their sweetheart table wasn’t set, 3 C’s Catering jumped in with us to create one on the spot. Together we gathered pieces, arranged florals, and pulled everything together without hesitation. At the end of the night, vendors and friends worked side-by-side to help clean up. It was clear how deeply loved Morgan & Emanuel truly are.

Tampa Wedding Vendors

This wedding was a beautiful reminder that when you trust your vendors and prioritize intentional choices over flashy ones, the day becomes so much more than an event—it becomes a collective celebration, woven together by people who truly care. Morgan & Emanuel’s dream team consisted of these area vendors:

Venue: The Orlo
Catering: 3 C’s Catering
Florals: Sam’s Club
Cake: Publix
HMUA: Beautiful You Makeup and Hair Services
Rentals: Elite Events & Rentals
