Its been a year since these two got married here in FL!! Their wedding is one that has stuck out in my mind the most. I remember asking them, why Florida and why the beach and I remember Anastasia’s mom telling us that for as long as she could remember, Anastasia wanted a beach wedding so they started googling FL beach weddings and found Honeymoon Island State Park.
I met Anastasia through a local FB group where she was searching for a wedding photographer. Being so new to weddings at the time, it was such an honor to have been chosen for their big day because honestly, their wedding will be a day that sticks with me for the rest of my life.
Coming in on their wedding day, we were welcomed with lots of laughter and girls who for the first time ever in wedding history were close to ready way ahead of schedule. We spent a good chunk of time getting to hang out, chat and be entertained by her adorable niece.
One part that sticks out most, is the first look with Anastasia’s dad. I remember being at the bottom of the stairs waiting for her to come down and the tears that fell as she came into his view. It was a beautiful moment with not a dry eye around.
Another part that tops my favorite wedding moments is their portraits. We hadn’t planned a lot of time for portraits because at the time the focus was on the reception but thankfully we were able to sneak out during a few moments at sunset because these two were fire! It was the first time that I really got to sit back during a wedding portrait session and just snap photos. These two didn’t need any help or guidance. It all was just so natural for them! The love that these two had for each other could be felt. It was as if they were the only two in the room.
We ended the night with a dance to Spice Girls. I mean does it get any better than that when you were a huge 90s kid??
Pretty sure these two sealed the deal and made me fall in love with beach sessions even more! Their day was absolute perfection.
