As Florida wedding photographers, we get the opportunity to visit some of the most beautiful venues and the sweetest couples the state has to offer. Garrett and Sarah’s elegant and intimate wedding at the stunning Belleview Inn is a great example of both of those things. From the venue itself to the details of their day, it was a wedding we’ll not soon forget.
Historic Belleview Inn
For couples seeking a luxury venue that offers both appealing amenities and classic architectural details, look no further than the Belleview Inn in Belleair, FL. First opened in 1897, this hotel has tons of character and is a historical landmark for the area. At its peak, it was the largest wooden structure in the state and was a popular destination for train passengers in the area. After closing for a few years, the original part of the hotel was restored to its original glory and features peaked gables, overhanging roofs, and wide verandas. Not only is it a sight to behold, the grounds feature multiple locations for wedding ceremonies and receptions. Guests are able to stay on sight and can spend their stay in the pool or golfing on one of the two 18 hole courses!
Outdoor Belleair Ceremony
Garett and Sarah decided on the Belleview for their big day for its gorgeous architecture, down to the back of the building. They held their ceremony under the front awning of the building, an area that holds roughly 60 people. Since it was a smaller space, they chose their closest friends and family. Not only was the day incredibly laid back, they kept Christ at the center of their day and involved many family members as well as personal touches. Garrett made the beautiful cross pictured behind them during their ceremony where one of his good friends (and Tampa area pastor) officiated. Sarah’s brother played Goodness of God on guitar while they prayed, cried, and took communion together. It was a beautiful picture of Christ and what He intended marriage to be.
Clearwater Beach
Following the ceremony, we ventured out to the golf course for portraits. As a couple, they fell in love with the view of the water in the background of the golf course. As a photographer, I’m so glad they did! Between the view of Clearwater Beach and the large, moss covered oaks, there’s no shortage of dreamy little nooks for photos. Those intimate moments during portraits between bride & groom are so romantic, but the real fun was at the reception!
Belleview Inn Reception
While there were several favorite parts of Garrett & Sarah’s wedding day, the reception definitely makes the list! The couple and their guests dined under a canopy of cafe lights which gave all of the dinner party reception vibes before they danced the night away. The cherry on top was their live band, Ashley Smith, who absolutely sang her heart out! She joined the couple and their guests on the dance floor and let everyone have a chance to sing into the mic if they so chose. It was pure awe and so much fun before Sarah & Garrett took a moment for one last private dance. After they soaked in the last few minutes of their beautiful wedding day, their family and friends bid them farewell under an arch of sparklers. If their wedding is any indication of what lies ahead for their marriage, it’s safe to say the Cox’s are in for a lifetime of happiness together!
