Luke and Samantha’s wedding was the first wedding that we had to travel quite a ways for and first all day wedding. Luke and Samantha met while attending the University of Florida through campus ministries with the Catholic Gators. While a part of the Catholic Gator Ministry, they both served on the board for Music Ministry.
In our questionnaire we always ask the question, “tell us about the ‘spark’ Whats your love story?” and most of the time, I, Rychelle, sit just grinning over your beautiful stories, but I want to share Luke and Samantha’s because it literally had me welling up with tears with how beautiful their relationship is!
Here is Samantha’s response:
“Luke and I really got to know each other when he would give me rides home from Catholic Gator events/ministry formation. We started going to daily mass together. When he asked me on a first date, he made it clear he wanted to be intentional about pursuing my heart.”
Y’all, is that not the sweetest thing ever?
In true Gator fashion, these two tied the knot at the beautiful St. Augustine Catholic Church right across from the University of Florida and we finished off the celebration at Hilton University of Florida. Their day was quite the amazing celebration, and probably the best, most fun reception we have had the privilege of being a part of. Between the magical first dance, the mother-son dance mashup, the tearful father-daughter dance where Samantha’s mother sang the song to their dance, and the blast of the confetti cannon, it was a perfect day indeed!
