Rainy Day Wedding at Harborside Chapel in Safety Harbor, FL

Moody, Rainy Day Wedding at Harborside Chapel

Where do we begin to share about Sammy and Moriah!? These two are some of the kindest, compassionate, generous, sweetest people you will ever meet. We first met Sammy when he was living with my in-laws and Aaron’s brother, Ben. He was always that funny but slightly quiet guy who lit up every time we brought our kids over to Aaron’s parents house. We occasionally got the privilege to hang with both Sammy and Moriah in the times that these two got to hang out with Ben.

When they got engaged, we were incredibly excited that we were asked to be their photographers! I mean, its always a great day, when someone makes the decision to hire us, because we not only get to capture beautiful moments, tell the story of the best day of your lives, but we also get to make new friends or connect on a deeper level with those who already are our friends.

They chose the stunning Harborside Chapel in safety harbor, FL, as their wedding venue, and honestly, it couldn’t have been more beautiful or represented the core of who they are. Their day was rainy which forced us to come up with all sorts of Plan B’s, but we like to believe that rain on your wedding day is good luck and it forced us to think outside of the box for their day.

Both Sammy and Moriah were the calmest, most collected Bride and Groom that we had the privilege of working with. Moriah spent time doing hair and makeup for her sisters, and Sammy just casually hung with all of his groomsmen. The anticipation for the two of them getting to see each other was at an all time high and something that we anxiously couldn’t wait for either! It’s one of those moments that we are all eager for on wedding day!

Their ceremony holds some of our favorite wedding moments that almost feel like they came from a movie. When the doors opened and it was time for Moriah to enter, everyone stood, and everyone had that audible gasp like you hear in the movies. Not only was it a really cool moment getting to hear everyones excitement towards the beautiful bride, Sammy stood at the altar weeping as his soon to be bride walked down the aisle. Talk about some powerful moments that had us in tears!

One thing we really love about Harborside Chapel and how they do things, is that at the end of the ceremony, they usher everyone outside, shut the front doors and have everyone make an aisle for the bride and groom to run through with a tunnel of bubbles. It’s also a really fun way to get to say hello to all of their guests who have traveled near and far.

Despite the rainy day and having to keep all of our photos inside on their day, harborside chapel provided a beautiful backdrop and the most gorgeous window light which made Plan B some of our most favorite photos. It might not have been the most ideal, but it led to some really stunning images!

These two met through a group at Calvary Church and it fit so perfectly to have their reception in the student life center where they met. We danced, we laughed, we hung out, we took lots of pictures and all around had the best, most chill reception with these two.

All in All, Sammy and Moriah’s day was a perfect one. They had those closest to them come and celebrate as they took on this new adventure as hubby and wife and we were honored to be front and center of all the new beginnings that these two were saying, “yes” to and we cant think of anything more rewarding or honoring than celebrating with friends!!

Cheers!!
