Garrett and Eleanore’s Wedding at White Chapel & Harbor Hall
Capturing Garrett and Eleanore’s wedding at White Chapel & Harbor Hall was nothing short of magical. This intimate and Christ-centered celebration was not only joyful but also bittersweet, marked by the absence of Garrett’s sweet mother. As their friends and wedding photographers, this day held a special place in our hearts, making it our absolute favorite wedding of the year!
Emotional First Look
The highlight of the day was undoubtedly Garrett and Eleanore’s first look—a moment filled with anticipation, joy, and a touch of sorrow. We structured the first look a little differently, allowing them to be close initially, building suspense before the big reveal. Their exchange of private letters and gifts added such a sweet and personal touch. A few days before the wedding, Garrett had found his moms bible and decided to gift it to Eleanore. On the morning of their wedding day, he found a note from his mother saying that the bible was for his wife! What a beautiful gift, it was instant tears for everyone!
In return, Eleanore discovered a letter from Garrett’s mom while she was organizing some of her things. It was a beautiful poem she had written for a friends wedding that never got sent. Eleanore read it aloud to Garrett and it brought the voice and spirit of his mother into the celebration and there was this profound sense of connection despite the physical absence. I mean, what are the odds! It was almost as if God knew they would need the poem more than his moms friend! Being invited into these sacred moments allowed us to capture the complexity of emotions, where joy and sorrow intertwined. It’s a moment and feeling we won’t forget.
Family, Friends, and Colorful Pops
The wedding was a family-oriented affair, with lots of our friends and Aaron’s family being a part of it! It was so fun because we got to be us and didn’t have to worry about anything else but celebrating people who felt like family! Eleanore’s fun color pops added vibrancy to the day and it was epic! The florals were crafted by my sister-in-law and her bestie, adding a vintage touch to the whimsical theme and they totally killed it!
The couple’s excitement to be married was so palpable that their pastor couldn’t even pronounce them Mr. and Mrs. Messineo before they joyfully ran down the aisle, celebrating with cheers and laughter.
Dreamy Palm Harbor Sunset Portraits
We absolutely LOVE how their portraits turned out! The Palm Harbor Sunset gave such a beautiful, warm glow! And the Vintage Westfalia Volkswagen Van just took their wedding photos to the next level, adding a touch of nostalgic charm to an already magical day.
Wedding Tattoos & Coffee Bar
Garrett got a tattoo during the wedding reception which was new for us to see and so fun! They also had a coffee bar which we are completely obsessed with! We’re pretty sure this should be at every wedding we photograph!
The day concluded with a charming exit as they rode off in an antique Volkswagen Bus. Cheers to this wonderful couple, and may their journey ahead be as magical as the moments we had the honor to capture!
