You know those weddings that you secretly are hoping and praying to book!? Thomas and Taylor’s wedding was one of them. Not only do we have lots of mutual friends in common, Taylor is one of the sweetest girls and was so easy to talk with and connect with right from the get go. It took some time to be able to meet these two in person (thanks COVID), but we can easily say that it was worth the wait to meet them! These two wanted a woodsy styled engagement session and we’re pretty sure these two nailed it from start to finish! They were also our first session back after 8 weeks of being quarantined at home, which i don’t think could have been a better way to get back to somewhat of our “norm.”
Winding through the woodsy pine trees, watching for those pesky stickers that won’t let go of your clothing, while capturing these two was a breeze. We had such a great evening chasing the sunlight and finding the little moments that make Thomas and Taylor who they are as a couple. It always the best when an evening of photographs become so fluid that a portrait sessions turns into just getting to know some very special people.
It’s incredible to see two people that are willing to sacrifice their lives for others join together. Taylor is a nurse and Thomas is a firefighter. I’m sure that choosing these career paths have come with a lot of sacrifice especially during this time in history. But their smiles, laughter, and the way they looked at each other were truly genuine. All of these things signified and represented the true connection that they have with each other.
We believe strongly in the vitality of connection and relationship. It produces an ability to endure things we could never endure on our own. Thomas and Taylor are an inspiration to this concept and are our heroes. We couldn’t be more excited to capture their moments and to be a part of recording the beginning for them.
